Gathering Materials
You can get everything you need for this project from Walmart, Hobby Lobby, or, my favorite, the Dollar Tree. You will need:
- Plates of your choosing
- Candle stick holders (thick to support the plate)
- E-6000 Glue
- Paint and brush (if painting your stand)

Start talking about the actual content of the post. Great posts have focus on one topic and go into detail. There are several types of blog posts, so write how-to’s, list posts, roundups, best-of’s, etc.
- Make sure your stands and plates are clean, wiping away any dirt or sticker marks that may be in the way.
- Place the glue around the top of the candle holder
**Note: the glue stinks! I recommend opening a window before opening the glue. I wish I had!**
- Place candle holder on the bottom of your plate, in the center to ensure stabilization
- Add more glue where the candle holder meets the plate
- Use a skewer or chopstick to even out the excess glue, making sure everything is covered properly
- It takes 24-48 hours for it to dry completely!
- Optional: place something heavy-ish on the candle holder to apply pressure
- Heavy-ish so you don’t take the chance of breaking your plate
Painting: Optional
After waiting the required time for the glue to dry, grab your paint and brush, place down a paper towel and go to work! Let your imagination and desire take over and create a gorgeous design! Match your base to the plate or grab a stencil and add some flowers or Christmas designs to the top of your plate!
That’s it!
This is such a quick and easy project that looks amazing when it’s finished! Imagine someone asking at a party where you got your adorable or fashionable stand and being able to say “Oh, I made it.”
Another idea could be to take smaller plates that match and create a tier for your display! Do whatever your heart desires!
Please, share your designs in the comments below. I would love to see what you make!
P.S. I got this idea while watching Jennifer Maker, who is a fellow crafter. She did not show how to create these on her channel but had some beautiful display stands showing off her creations that inspired me to this project.
Have a blessed day and keep crafting your best life!
